The contract, finalized on Wednesday, includes a $2.25 million salary for the current year, complemented by a team option for 2027 worth up to $4 million, with a $500,000 buyout. The financial terms are designed to reward Brebbia’s durability and effectiveness through various performance markers. Additional incentives are tied to the number of games pitched and finished, with potential increases of up to $1 million for reaching 45 or 50 games pitched, and $500,000 for 65 games pitched. Furthermore, Brebbia can earn $250,000 bonuses for each milestone from 50 to 65 games pitched, and similar bonuses for 40 to 55 games finished, highlighting the Tigers' commitment to a performance-driven payroll.
