Eddie Jordan, the flamboyant former Formula 1 team owner and television pundit, has died aged 76. The Irishman, who had been battling aggressive prostate cancer, passed away peacefully in Cape Town on the early hours of 20 March 2025, with his family by his side.

Jordan was a larger-than-life figure in the world of motorsport, known for his outspoken and mischievous character. He achieved remarkable success as an independent team owner, with his team, Jordan Grand Prix, making its debut in 1991. Over its 15 years in the sport, the team won four grands prix and briefly challenged for the drivers' championship in 1999.
