The Young Talent Challenging Snooker Legends' Records
14-year-old Michal Szubarczyk aims to break Ronnie O'Sullivan's Crucible record.

Michal Szubarczyk is making waves in the snooker world. The 14-year-old Pole has won U16 and U18 European Championship titles. He reached the final of the open age event and was offered a two-year card on the World Snooker Tour. Now, he's targeting O'Sullivan's 33-year record at the 2025 World Championships. 144 players enter the qualifying event, and Szubarczyk faces challenges to earn a spot.
With qualifying held months in advance, he has a chance to set new records. A win in the first round against Dean Young would make him the youngest to win a qualifying match.
