Manchester United is set to embark on an Asian tour right after the conclusion of the Premier League season next month. They will face the ASEAN All Stars in Kuala Lumpur on 28 May and then play in Hong Kong two days later. The trip is expected to bring in about $10m (£7.8m). The club's international players will join their national teams the following week. United has a significant fan base in Malaysia, and Malaysia Airlines is their official commercial airline partner. The increased workload on players has been a topic of discussion this season.

Last season, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United had a similar post-season friendly in Australia. With changes in football competitions, efforts are being made to manage the schedule.
