Born in Bury St Edmunds, he began his career with Cambridge United at the age of 10. He made 180 appearances for the club and won promotion to the third tier. Despite facing injuries, he continued to play for various teams. Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2014, he later wrote a memoir. Both Cambridge United and Northampton Town have paid tribute to his talent and resilience.
