Key Upgrades at Scotstoun
The existing athletics track is being removed this week, and temporary stands are being dismantled. A new, world-class surface will be installed by September, ensuring the stadium is ready for the first phase of the Games. The Glasgow Warriors will return to Scotstoun before further renovations resume next spring.
Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games
Scheduled from July 23 to August 2, 2026, the Games will feature 10 sports across four venues. Over 3,000 athletes from 74 Commonwealth nations and territories are expected to participate. The Commonwealth Mile will be the signature event, promising thrilling competitions and unforgettable moments.
