Michael Dunlop Dominates Tandragee 100 with Historic Big Bike Double
Michael Dunlop triumphs at Tandragee 100 with a historic big bike double, setting new records and showcasing unparalleled skill.

Michael Dunlop made a triumphant return to the Tandragee 100 road races, marking his first appearance since 2013 by clinching the big bike double. Riding his MD Racing BMW Superstock machine, Dunlop secured victories in both the Open and feature races at the County Armagh circuit.
In the Open race, Dunlop finished just 0.4 seconds ahead of Michael Sweeney, with Conor Cummins edging out Mike Browne for third place. The 36-year-old repeated his success in the Tandragee 100 six-lapper, defeating Sweeney by eight seconds and setting a new absolute course record of 111.584mph on his final circuit.
Both frontrunners shattered the late Dan Kneen's seven-year-old lap record during the Open race and continued to raise the bar throughout the thrilling finale. Sweeney initially led the Open race after the first lap, but Dunlop quickly moved into second place by the end of the second lap, thanks to the quickest lap of the race at 108.933.
By the third lap, Dunlop had taken the lead, maintaining a narrow advantage over Sweeney. Cummins managed to secure third place on the final bend, with Marcus Simpson and Anderson rounding out the top six.
In the feature race, Dunlop set the pace from the start, with Sweeney keeping up the pursuit. Dunlop led by 0.2 seconds after the first lap and increased his lead with a lap of 110.497. Despite Sweeney's efforts to close the gap, Dunlop's final lap at over 111mph gave him a decisive advantage, securing his victory.
Browne also had a successful weekend, winning the Supersport class with a commanding start-to-finish victory. Meanwhile, Darryl Tweed triumphed in the Supertwins race after a thrilling battle with Sweeney.
The Tandragee races returned for the first time since 2022 after essential resurfacing work was carried out on the course, providing an exciting and competitive event for motorsport enthusiasts.
