Rangers Bolster Midfield with Joe Rothwell Signing from Bournemouth
Rangers have secured midfielder Joe Rothwell from Bournemouth on a three-year deal, adding depth and experience to their squad for the upcoming season.

Rangers have officially announced the signing of midfielder Joe Rothwell from Bournemouth on a three-year contract. The 30-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Leeds United, brings a wealth of experience to the Scottish Premiership side.
Rothwell, who previously played under Rangers head coach Russell Martin during a loan spell at Southampton, made 39 appearances for Leeds last season, starting 27 of them. His contributions were pivotal in Leeds' Championship triumph and subsequent promotion.
With a career spanning over 351 club appearances and 24 goals, Rothwell's versatility and experience will be invaluable to Rangers as they aim for success both domestically and in Europe.
Rothwell's journey began at Manchester United's youth academy, followed by loan spells at Blackpool and Barnsley, before he joined Oxford United. He later moved to Blackburn Rovers and then to Bournemouth in 2022.
This summer, Rothwell is not the only new face at Rangers. The club has also secured the services of Lyall Cameron, a 22-year-old free agent midfielder, and Max Aarons, a 25-year-old full-back on loan from Bournemouth.
Rangers will kick off their season at home against Panathinaikos in the Champions League second qualifying round first leg on 22 July. The addition of Rothwell and other new signings is expected to strengthen their squad as they aim for a strong start to the season.
