Everton Bolsters Squad with Rising Star Ornella Vignola from Spain U23
Everton enhances its Women's Super League lineup by signing Spain U23 winger Ornella Vignola, promising a competitive edge.

Everton has officially welcomed Spain Under-23 winger Ornella Vignola from Liga F side Granada, marking her as the second significant acquisition for the Women's Super League team this season, following Dutch midfielder Rosa van Gool. Vignola, aged 20, has shown impressive form with three goals and three assists in 28 league appearances for Granada last season, and has continued to excel by scoring four times in her last three games for Spain Under-23s.
Starting her career at Barcelona, Vignola expressed her enthusiasm about joining Everton: "The English league is renowned for its competitiveness, and I am thrilled to make my debut here. This is a fantastic opportunity for me to grow and contribute significantly under the guidance of Brian Sorensen."
Brian Sorensen, Everton's manager, praised the new signing, stating, "Ornella is among the most exciting emerging talents in football today. Her direct approach and fearless attitude on the field make her a crucial part of our strategy for the upcoming season. She’s truly a spectacle to watch when she’s in full form."
This strategic move by Everton is expected to enhance their competitive stance in the Women's Super League, as they continue to build a robust team capable of challenging for top honors.
