Bournemouth Secures Chelsea's Star Goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic in a £25m Deal
Bournemouth has signed Chelsea's goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic for £25m, marking a significant boost to their squad ahead of the new season.

Bournemouth have officially announced the signing of Chelsea's talented goalkeeper, Djordje Petrovic, in a deal worth £25 million. The Serbian international, who previously played for New England Revolution, joined Chelsea in 2023 for £14 million and spent the last season on loan at Strasbourg in France.
Petrovic, aged 25, had an outstanding season with Strasbourg, earning the Player of the Season award and helping the club secure a spot in the Europa Conference League by finishing seventh in Ligue 1. His impressive performances have made him a valuable addition to Bournemouth's squad.
This signing marks Bournemouth's third acquisition of the summer, with Petrovic signing a five-year contract. In his statement, Petrovic expressed his excitement: "I came to Bournemouth because I want to grow and I want to play at the best level. Together with this club, with these facilities, I think we can achieve it. I want to help the team get the results, improve every day and be a better player."
Petrovic, who has earned seven caps for Serbia, made 23 Premier League appearances for Chelsea over two seasons. With Kepa Arrizabalaga returning to Chelsea, Petrovic is expected to take over as Bournemouth's first-choice goalkeeper.
This move is seen as a strategic step by Bournemouth to strengthen their defense and compete more effectively in the Premier League. Fans are eagerly anticipating Petrovic's debut and the impact he will have on the team's performance.
