Eze and Guehi Shine for Crystal Palace Amid Transfer Talks
Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi start for Crystal Palace against Chelsea despite ongoing transfer talks with Tottenham and Liverpool.

Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi have been named in the starting lineup for Crystal Palace in their Premier League opener against Chelsea on Sunday, despite being in advanced talks with Tottenham and Liverpool respectively.
Palace manager Oliver Glasner expressed confidence in both players, stating, "Marc [Guehi] and Eze trained well the whole week. Of course, there is no reason not to start them." He also cautioned fans, "Don't believe everything you read in the newspapers."
Eze's Potential Move to Tottenham BBC Sport reported on Saturday that Tottenham are accelerating their efforts to sign the 27-year-old Eze. Discussions have been ongoing since the start of the week, with Tottenham negotiating an offer slightly below the total release figure of £68m (£60m initial plus £8m in add-ons).
Guehi's Links to Liverpool Similarly, England centre-back Marc Guehi is the subject of talks between Crystal Palace and Premier League champions Liverpool. Palace chairman Steve Parish indicated that the club would sell their captain this summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer at the end of his contract. Palace are reportedly seeking around £40m for Guehi, although Liverpool are aiming to pay less.
Performance on the Pitch Both players have been instrumental for Palace, and their performances in the season opener will be closely watched by potential suitors. Eze's creativity and Guehi's defensive solidity could prove crucial for Palace as they aim to start the season on a positive note.
