Great Britain's Melissa Courtney-Bryant delivered a breathtaking performance at the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold meeting held in Boston, clocking the fastest 3,000m time in the world for 2025. The 31-year-old athlete, a seasoned competitor and two-time European indoor bronze medallist, achieved an impressive personal best of 8:28.69 seconds.

Courtney-Bryant's victory was not just a showcase of speed; she finished a remarkable over one second ahead of American runner Elise Cranny, underlining her elite status in middle-distance running. This achievement positions her as the second-fastest Briton ever in the 3,000m distance, with only Laura Muir ahead at 8:26.41 seconds.

In addition to Courtney-Bryant's stellar performance, the race featured other notable competitors, including Georgia Bell, the Olympic 1500m bronze medallist, who finished sixth with a personal best time of 8:36.96 seconds. Bell’s compatriot, Hannah Nuttall, also made headlines by securing a new PB of 8:40.01, showcasing the depth of talent in British athletics.
