The Charlotte Hornets have acquired center Nick Richards and three second-round picks from the Phoenix Suns in a trade on Monday.
The Hornets will send Josh Okogie, the 2026 second-round pick (via Denver), the 2031 second-round pick (via Denver), and the 2031 second-round pick (via Phoenix) to the Suns.
Richards, a 24-year-old center, averaged 4.4 points and 2.4 rebounds in 13.8 minutes per game for the Suns last season.
Okogie, a 23-year-old forward, averaged 7.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 23.2 minutes per game for the Hornets last season.
The trade is the first of the 2024-25 NBA regular season and comes as the trade deadline approaches on Feb. 6.
