NBA MVP Odds Update: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Takes the Lead

The race for the 2024-25 NBA MVP award is heating up, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander emerging as the new favorite. Nikola Jokic, Jayson Tatum, and other stars are also in the running.

The Oklahoma City Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the new odds-on favorite to win the NBA MVP Award, according to the latest futures odds. Gilgeous-Alexander knocks three-time MVP Nikola Jokic out of the top spot for the first time all season.

Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers lead the Eastern Conference, while the New York Knicks have a pair of MVP candidates in Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns. Victor Wembanyama, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Jayson Tatum are among the top five odds leaders, behind Gilgeous-Alexander and Jokic.
