The French Open is set to stage a special ceremony to honour Rafael Nadal. The Spanish tennis great, who retired in November, has an outstanding record at the event with 14 Grand Slam titles. Tournament director Amelie Mauresmo plans to hold the ceremony on Court Philippe Chatrier on Sunday, 25 May. The tournament will also honour the retiring Richard Gasquet and 2000 champion Mary Pierce. Prize money has increased, and the French Open retains line judges unlike Wimbledon.
