Don Cowie Steps Down as Ross County Manager Amidst Season Struggles
Don Cowie has mutually agreed to leave his role as Ross County manager, citing the club's best interests following a challenging start to the season.

Don Cowie has departed from his position as manager of Ross County, stating that it was mutually agreed upon to be in the best interest of the Scottish Championship club. This decision comes after a tough start to the season, with Ross County facing relegation from the Premiership following a play-off defeat by Livingston in May.
Season Struggles Ross County's performance in the second tier has been less than stellar, with a draw and home losses to promotion hopefuls St Johnstone and Partick Thistle. The recent loss to Partick Thistle on Saturday proved to be the final straw for Cowie, who had been in charge for just over a year.
Cowie's Statement "Unfortunately, the start to our Championship season hasn't been up to the standard to which we all expected," said Cowie, a former County midfielder. "After conversations with the board, we have mutually agreed that it is in the best interest of the club that I would leave my position as manager."
Future Prospects Cowie expressed his belief in the squad's potential to achieve their goal of returning to the Premiership and wished them the best for the season ahead. Ross County has announced that they will begin the search for a new manager promptly and will confirm interim coaching arrangements soon.
Club's Focus "The focus of everyone at the club remains on securing our position in the Scottish Premiership," added chief executive Steven Ferguson.
