Former Australia cricketer Michael Slater sentenced for domestic violence.

Former Australia cricketer Michael Slater, who played 74 Tests for the country between 1993 and 2001, has been handed a partly suspended four-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to multiple domestic violence charges. Despite this, the 55-year-old will be free as he has already served over a year in custody after being refused bail in 2024. During his eight-year Test career with Australia, Slater amassed more than 5,000 runs. He later became a commentator but faced various legal issues.
