Rising Star George: The Teenage Darts Prodigy Set to Conquer the Professional Scene
Discover how George, a 13-year-old darts prodigy from East Thurrock, is making waves in the darts world with his unique style and ambition to turn professional.

George's Early Beginnings
George, a 13-year-old from East Thurrock in Essex, first picked up a dart at the tender age of four. Due to his smaller stature, he initially used a stall to reach the board. Now, he is making headlines in the darts community with his remarkable talent and ambition to turn professional.
Joining the Junior Darts Corporation
George's journey took a significant turn when he joined the Junior Darts Corporation (JDC). Inspired by world champion Luke Littler, George dreams of following in his footsteps. His father, Chris, often marvels at his son's abilities, saying, "George is unreal, it's so great seeing him play darts."
Unique Style and Mentorship
Known as "Little Pingo" for his unique throwing style, George has caught the attention of former PDC World Championship finalist Kevin Painter. Painter, who has taken George under his wing, commented, "He launches it, and it looks like he's not going to hit anything. It's not the sort of throw you see very often, it is strange, but he does good scores."
Family Support and Future Goals
Chris estimates that George hits a 180—the highest possible score—about 20 times a day. "He's got the drive, he's got the energy, and he loves the sport," Chris added. George himself is determined, stating, "I want to become a professional darts player. It will take a lot of practice, and I just need to keep going."
