Luke Littler Secures Thrilling Last-Leg Victory in Australian Darts Masters
Luke Littler clinches a nail-biting last-leg victory against Haupai Puha to advance to the quarter-finals of the Australian Darts Masters.

Luke Littler showcased his resilience and skill as he narrowly avoided a major upset in the Australian Darts Masters, defeating Haupai Puha in a thrilling final-leg decider. The match, which ended 6-5, saw Littler maintain his composure under pressure to secure his place in the quarter-finals.
Despite a slow start, Littler, the reigning world champion, managed to turn the tide against the world number 94 Puha. The New Zealander initially led 2-0 and had the advantage at 5-5, but Littler's experience and precision shone through as he clinched the victory with a 13-dart finish.
"It's not always the prettiest, but I am happy to get over the line," Littler commented after the match. "I had to grind it out. I'll be honest, not much practice has been put in, people don't see behind the scenes, body clock, not sleeping, it has an effect."
Littler's next challenge will be against Australian Damon Heta in the last eight. Meanwhile, world number one Luke Humphries will face Mike de Decker, who advanced with a 6-2 win over Brandon Weening. Humphries also had a slow start in his match against Jonny Tata, losing the first two legs, but he fought back to win 6-3.
Defending champion Gerwyn Price, who defeated Littler in last year's final, overcame Joe Comito 6-3, while top seed Stephen Bunting cruised to a 6-1 victory against Brody Klinge. Damon Heta delivered a dominant performance, thrashing James Bailey 6-0 in Wollongong, and Josh Rock secured a 6-1 win over Simon Whitlock. Chris Dobey also enjoyed a successful match, defeating Tim Pusey 6-4.
This event continues to highlight the intense competition and high stakes in the world of professional darts, with players pushing their limits to achieve victory.
